The first quarter of my vision board is complete! 🖼️✨ This year, I decided to use Canva 🎨 instead of crafting it by hand, but I still wrote my goals down on paper first 📝. Now, my vision board is my phone wallpaper 📱, so I’ll see it multiple times a day. No more letting it collect dust in the back of the closet! 🙌
To kick off the New Year 🎉, I checked off the first fun thing on my list: a trip to see Annie on Broadway 🎭 with my daughter, Domo. It was such an incredible way to start 2025 💕.
We took the Metro-North train 🚆 from New Haven to NYC—a calming 2-hour ride without traffic or parking stress 🚗✋. Once in the city, we walked around a lot 🏙️🦶 looking for Madison Square Garden. It was a nice stretch after all that sitting! 😊
The show was magical 🌟. Whoopi Goldberg and the cast were remarkable 👏. I bought Domo a t-shirt 👕 and treated myself to an Annie doll 🧸 (though I regret not snagging Sandy the dog 🐶). Unfortunately, I missed capturing the final bow 📸—time to learn how to adjust my phone camera settings!
We grabbed a bite at Chipotle 🌯, which was pricey but delicious 😋. The subway 🚇 wasn’t crowded, the weather was beautiful 🌤️, and overall, it was a smooth and peaceful day.
The next day, I had a hair appointment 💇♀️ with Ms. Kay at Kay’s Hair Salon. She suggested I see a dermatologist 🩺 about my hair loss—it might be more than just postmenopause. I’ve already started HRT 💊, which is helping with other symptoms, and I’ve been taking Nutrafol 🌿. But now, I’m ready to work with Ms. Kay to restore my hair’s health 💆♀️.
This journey feels personal. My hair has always been a big part of my identity, and losing it has been tough 🥺. But I know I’ll get through this, just like I’ve overcome everything else in my life 💪.
Takeaways from My Week:
🌈 Progress can be as simple as completing one section of a vision board or enjoying time with loved ones.
🧘♀️ Self-care means addressing emotional, physical, and personal wellness—even something as personal as hair health.
✨ Cherish small wins, whether it’s exploring a city or setting goals for the future.
